WHO WE ARE &
WHAT WE DO
Who we are
We’re the collective of smaller businesses giving those in power the confidence and knowledge to build a thriving UK economy that respects climate and nature.
It’s within reach.
We do this by representing the SME-voice in leading business-networks, bringing our insights and perspectives to the places where influence already exists. Working with policymakers and government, we’re helping raise ambition and shaping effective policy for thriving businesses and communities across the UK.
At the same time, in the hope more will join us, we’re make the often daunting world of policy more accessible for SMEs.

We exist to:
-

SUPPORT AMBITION
We support UK ambition and leadership through high-level roundtables and exclusive campaigns.
-

SHAPE PROGRESS
We bring on-the-ground experience and insights into policy recommendations.
-

SHARE OUR GOOD WORK
We’ve built a tasty platform to celebrate members’ advocacy in a brand-relevant way.
-

TRANSLATE
We translate complex policy language to share actionable opportunities.
-

INFORM AND EDUCATE
We send regular updates to keep everyone in the loop with policy developments.
-

BUILD NEW NETWORKS
We create opportunities to attend the odd networking event too.
Defined by action, not industry
We are a cross-industry collective, defining our advocacy by how we run our businesses in relation to climate and nature.
Our power is our range of industries and perspectives, coming together to show a broad support base for clear and actionable asks and guidance. Delivered directly to those in power.
HOW WE RUN GIVES US THE CREDIBILITY TO SPEAK UP
Interested in joining?
We’re looking for current or recent small and medium sizes businesses (SMEs), across all industries, who are taking progressive action to integrate climate and nature into their operations and value chain. We would love to hear from you if you would like to become a thought leader by sharing your ambitions and experience to help shape system-level progress.
Progressive action is different in every business so please get in touch and we can discuss what this looks like in your context.
-
Following the UK Government definition in public procurement and policy, employing under 250 employees and an annual turnover under £50 million.
Where the UK market makes up over 30% of total turnover, our scope captures UK turnover only.
We accept members who have scaled this threshold in the past 3 years. There’s nothing like a good success story.

One of the main purposes of this collective is to create a platform for SMEs to speak up, in the first person. Due to this, we do not accept membership applications from organisations whose contribution will predominantly be based on the experiences of their clients or members, including consultancies and some professional services.
That said, we highly respect your work in the space and would love to explore if there are other ways to collaborate beyond membership, so please do get in touch.
